A Bridal Shower for Country Mouse

This weekend my dear sweet sister Emily threw a surprise Bridal Shower for me. It was on the horse farm across the street from the farm where I grew up. Matt did such a great job about getting me there. Believe me folks, I was not an easy person on Sunday morning. All I wanted to do was sleep, but he would not let me. Eventually, after much poking and prodding, I rolled out of bed, threw on that dress, and barely made it to church on time. I know now that Matt was given the job of keeping me occupied.

Another thing I didn't know at the time was that my allergy medication is actually the equivalent of Benedryl. I took two that morning. I was not fun. Poor Matt. I have since switched medicine and am feeling much more awake.

Note to self -- start reading labels.

Anyway...back to the shower...

I think I stood in the doorway looking at everyone for like...two minutes before my sister came up and gave me my hat. The shower was a shabby-chic tea party. I LOVED it. It could not have been more perfect. Everyone wore hats! Seriously...so dear. The whole set-up just blew me away in it's perfection. Emily and Mom must have spent so much time on it.
Oh...side note...I was late, that's why they look bored, but look at the barn! Hay bales, wagon wheels, saddles, horseshoes, teapots, books, dresses, I could go on and on....
