Mail Call

Dear Jaco,

I think you are cute. Really I do. I like your floppy ears and your goofy smile.
But when I come home after a long day of work and flop down on the couch, this is the last thing I want to see.

Why would you even do that? It's not like your rawhide chew isn't sitting UNDER THE COUCH. It's not like this is the first time you have been left to your own devices at home. You have managed to not get into this type of trouble for well over seven months now. I can't imagine that it actually tasted good to you, you are the pickiest eater I have ever encountered. You wouldn't even eat the piece of pork chop I put in your bowl last week. (That hurt my feelings by the way, I'm still not over that.)

What caused your sudden change from Dr. Jekyll into Mr. Hyde? You used to be such a docile pup. There must be a reason. The couch must have started it, right?

And then there is this...

I can only imagine there was an emergency of some sort, why else would you attempt to dig out of the room? Was there something threatening in there that you tried to find an escape route? Perhaps you heard calls for help outside and were off to save the day, but more likely, you heard the Chihuahua next door and were trying to get to him, no doubt to wreak the same havoc you did upon the couch. This type of behavior will not be tolerated Jaco. It pains me to do this, but you leave me no choice.

Sincerely,

The owner of the couch you chewed, the wall you destroyed, the carpet you ate...don't even get me started on the fact that you ate TWO cd's as well.

  1. Poor Jaco...he's been assigned to crate duty. Maybe his stint in solitary will result in a few better behaviors. :-)

  2. Aaahhh yes, the chewing dogs. My two are NEVER allowed out of their cages when we ware not home. Or else everything would be destroyed!

  3. Bekah, you poor thing! That was very well written, if it is any solace.
I don't have a dog problem, just Bootsie, the neighbours cat, who now thinks that our carpet is a scratching post, territorial or what?
Poor BAD Jaco, consigned to the crate......

  9. Oh no! I've heard about dogs trying to 'dig out' of the room but never seen the actual damage like that. That's crazy!! He must've been dead set on getting out of that room.

    Poor Jaco!

  10. Oh my gosh hilarious. Infuriating, yes, but hilarious. My dogs do the crate thing too. Its the only way to salvage some place to sit in the house.
