*BEEP* *BEEP*

*We interrupt the regularly scheduled blogging for a special announcement.

I am pregnant with a gummy bear.*

*For those of you who may not know exactly what you are looking at (i.e. me last night) the babys head is to the left, and yes, those are its arms and legs.

We had our first ultrasound last night, and I can confidently tell you that I have never seen anything as beautiful as that tiny flickering heartbeat. I felt such a sense of peace, seeing our baby, hearing that (s)he is looking great. Seeing the baby made this whole thing so much more real than a little pink line on a stick.

I want to thank all of you (again) for your encouragement. You have been such a source of strength to me, as well as a source of comfort.

(Don't go anywhere...I'm probably going to revert to a blubbering hormonal mess by tomorrow. Thanks!)

  3. *sigh* I remember the very first ultrasound, it was a truly amazing experience. Just wait until 20 weeks when you get to see all the parts and find out what you're having. There's nothing like it!

Then you get to start feeling them move, which is awesome....

Then they start punching your bladder...and sticking their butt out...and wedging their feet in places...hehehe...

j/k...it's all absolutely, completely, utterly AMAZING and I'm so excited for you!!!!!!

  5. Love the gummy bear picture! Sounds like a good name to call the baby while she or he is still inside!
