The Nursery: Sneak Peek

Matt and I have really been working hard in the nursery this weekend.

Wow those colors are WAY off! The walls are actually very, very light blue.

Can anyone guess the theme we are working (loosely) with? I can't wait to show you guys the rest of what we have finished, as well as maybe pick your brains on a thing or two.

For instance - do you think we really NEED a changing table? Won't a dresser set up with a changing pad be pretty much the same thing?

Definitely Dr. Seuss :-) What a great idea! I can't wait to see more! And I don't have children but a changing pad on a dresser sounds good to me. Unless maybe there's a bar on changing tables that keeps them from rolling off if you turn your back for half a second.

Like the other posters said, I was wondering if it's Dr. Seuss? I love Dr. Seuss!!! :-)

I think you probably saw in our pics of Hunter's nursery, we didn't bother with a changing table. Most of the dressers made for nurseries now are the kind you can put the changing pad on top of. WE have a small room so not only did I not want to give up the space for a changing table, but honestly I don't like the way changing tables look anyway! There is not disguising it. LOL And now Hunter's dresser can grow with him/his room since it's just looks like a dresser! :-)

How cute is this going to be, can not wait to see the rest of the pics.

I never had a changing table...I used the bed....my bed! But you will have to remember, I am much older than you guys!!

I am looking for a very light blue to paint my sewing room, and so far, everything I pick up is too dark.

The dresser and changing pad works quite fine for Emerson!

Oh, I know! You're going to use Dr. Seuss - one of my all-time favourites!

You definitely do not need a changing table. A pad on a flat surface will do... Some of my friends have used washing machines and the surface next to sinks for changing.

Oohh!! Dr. Seuss!! I can't wait to see it!

Bekah, there's no need for a separate changing table. Most are kinda small and don't serve any other use. I bought a dresser for Parker's room that we can add a hutch to later on.

:) Dr Seuss....Emily's preschool graduation used this theme- I love the colors!!

We used a changing pad on a dresser worked for us....A lot of changing tables aren't as sturdy as dressers too.

Your bump is so cute! ;)

We have a pad on a dresser and this works fine for us. When they start crawling and fighting you can't use changing tables OR dressers because they're too high. You just plop down on the floor anyway.
