Two Months

How on earth have two months flown by since I had my son? I suspect time travel...it's the only explanation that makes sense.

And now - a question for all the mommies out there. How do you know when it's time to move up a diaper size? Jack is wearing ones, but in the last two days he has blown out five diapers. They don't look small on him, but poop up to his hairline on a regular basis seems to suggest the opposite.

  1. I'm no expert by any means...however, with Jared I went by the tape. If I was really starting to stretch the tape...it was time to switch. Also, if you are having leaks I think that may be a sign that it's either too small or possibly too big. I suggest to buy the next size and try one. If it is too big he'll grow into it in no time. Good luck.

  3. When Drew has blowouts, we move him up a size to try and see it. In the earlier phases, a lot of the diaper companies have half sizes (1-2 or 2-3) that are handy. Just buy a small package the first time in case you don't like the new size / type.

  4. Well, there are weight guides on the diapers as well...I go by that and also whether he's blowing them out/peeing through them at night. The half sizes 1/2 are also good too...they are bigger than a 1 but not as big as a 2.

  5. He is just absolutely precious, I just want to squeeze him and sniff his little baby head. My youngest of eight grandchildren is six months and is loosin' that new baby look. Ahhhh, I miss it.

You see and feel the diaper is gettin' a little snug there and it begins to leak out occasionally, it's time to bump the little fella up a size.

Have a great day and enjoy that little blessing there!!! God bless ya'll.......

  6. He is SO stinkin' cute!

With Hunter I based it on how tight the bands were getting on his chunky legs and like Nora said, if the tape was really starting to stretch.

  8. I base it on if I see baby butt crack in the back. Seems like its a good idea to keep my baby from becoming the youngest female plumber. You know, keep her off the pole and plumbing. Rules to live by.
