Party Hardy

Saturday was my nephew Emerson's first birthday party. My sister came up with the cutest ideas, all rotating around Emerson's favorite word "dog"! The day before the party Emily, Valen (her sister-in-law), my mom, and I got together to prep.

We made pupcakes...
...Emily made a personal dog cake for Emerson. Seriously...how flippin cute is that?!

The party was a huge success, over 50 people came out to celebrate the birth of sweet little Emerson. He had a blast playing with his buds and getting kisses from his family.

He did get a little overwhelmed when we all gathered to sing Happy Birthday to him and watch him eat his cake.


And, as a side note, is there anything cuter than a baby in a party hat??
I think not. (By the way...this handsome little guy is Andrew, the baby you all prayed for! Isn't he a cutie?!)

He and Jack found each other very very interesting, they stared each other down for a good two minutes, which for a baby is quite a long time!
