For me, summer is pretty much over when Matt goes back to teaching, but I can't let the official first day of Fall start without a little tribute to our first family summer. It was good. It was so good.
Jack was loved on by family near and far.
We laughed, we cried, we moved. Jack started to crawl, clap, sing. yell, point and talk.
It was beautiful, it was new, it was so many many things, and it was so much better than I ever thought possible.
What is your favorite memory from this summer, the one that you will cling to when icy winds start blowing?
Unfortunately we had a rough start to summer (with the suicide of my Hubby's youngest brother) - it kind of put a mark on this year, but one thing I do know; God has shown us His faithfulness throughout! I think if we look back on anything, we'll remember how He brought us through one of the darkest valleys we've been through as a couple, and stood our feet on solid ground. We're looking forward to this Fall, with the birth of our daughter - birth is always a joyous occasion!
ReplyDeleteWe took our first international trip with the kids (Paris) and it was amazing. The kids did so well and I'm so glad we can give them these experiences.
ReplyDeleteId say my birthday night. Dan and my friends always do such an amazing and thoughtful job, I always have a blast.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love that little (is it) tigger outfit. Adorable. You'll have to take a look at my blog (if you would like of course). I did a little tribute to the last official day of summer as well.

I would have to say the day little Z started considering me his other mother. <3
ReplyDeleteWhen it's snowing and I'm freezing and feeling anxious for fresh air, I'll remember Hunter's first offical "swim" in the lake at his Grandpa's house! How he nervously clutched onto the strap of my bathing suit (almost flashing my hubby's family in the process) and then squealed with delight when I swung him through the crisp, cool water. And his delight at seeing the ducks. I'm smiling at the memory now. :-) Great post!
