Remember Pearl Harbor

On this day in 1941, my grandfather woke up in his barracks at Pearl Harbor to the sound of explosions.  He looked out his window to see the rising sun emblem on the side of a plane and knew that something was horribly wrong.
The next day the United States entered World War 2.   69 years later it is all too easy to forget.

  1. I don't think I've ever met someone who had family at Pearl Harbor! Thank you to your grandpa for his service to our country! My grandpa served in Egypt in WWII and then walked from the "heel" of Italy all the way to the top with his infantry. They were among the troops that liberated Rome! :)
