House Tour

I want there to be a record of the places that my babies were babies, so this is where we document our house becoming our home.  We both feel that having a space that makes you smile is the most important thing when it comes to decorating your home, so we enjoy taking rooms one at a time and making them fit our little family.

In April of 2013 we moved into a sweet little cottage, there is a lot of work to be done but we are happy to be making a home here.
Progress is slow but steady,  if you would like to see all of the posts about our time here so far,(including building the sandbox, veggie garden, and taking down layers of old paneling)  you can click this link.

From the door you enter into the mudroom.

And here are a few more little before and afters that don't fall into one particular 'room' but still make a big difference! We widened this doorway to flood the kitchen with more light...
And we redid pretty much everything about this particular view ...
So there you have it, an updated tour of our little home.  It's small, but it lives big, and we love living here! You may have noticed that we didn't put a before and after picture of the bathroom.  That is our next BIG project...so stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting!

  1. The overall design and location of the house is something what I want to have. The interior is simple yet it's stylish and relaxing on the inside. I'll try making some improvements on our home as well, just to make it look more happy and welcoming just like your home.

  2. Love your front porch! It's so cute and inviting. And the stripes in your half bath remind me exactly of the stripes in ours, color and everything!

  3. Nice work with the interiors here. That living room you're working on looks especially nice, what with the new colors, sofas and all.

  4. The whole house is coming along beautifully! Such a labor of love, right? That was a serious amount of wood in your room and the boys room...what were people thinking? They look a million times better now, and so much bigger!
