In April of 2013 we moved into a sweet little cottage, there is a lot of work to be done but we are happy to be making a home here.
Our Bedroom:
The Boys Shared Room:
The Mudroom:
In July, 2012, we moved into a three bedroom farmhouse. For the first time in years we could paint our walls! For a full 'before' tour, go here.
Porch:
Our first change was to the front door. We took it from black to green, and made the porch much more welcoming in the process!
Dining Room:
Next we set to work in the dining room, bringing in some color and some light!
Living Room:
Lately we have been concentrating our time on putting our family mark on the living room.
We recently decided to bring in some light with a board and batten accent wall that we installed over Labor Day weekend, which led to us arranging the furniture (again). Since then, we have found and refurbished two hanging lanterns for the room, which has added a lot of character! Downstairs Bathroom:
We had a little fun with this one...
The downstairs half bath has come a long way, and despite running into a problem or ten, we love our fresh striped half bath!
I tackled the kitchen as a surprise to my husband when he returned from a day trip. I brightened up the space and gave the backplash some much needed love!
So that is where we stand on the farmhouse! I will update this page as we go!

From 2010-2012 we lived in a three-bedroom townhouse. It was a rental, and we loved it. Click on the labeled pictures to go to that specific house tour post!
Thanks for visiting!

The overall design and location of the house is something what I want to have. The interior is simple yet it's stylish and relaxing on the inside. I'll try making some improvements on our home as well, just to make it look more happy and welcoming just like your home.
ReplyDeleteLove your front porch! It's so cute and inviting. And the stripes in your half bath remind me exactly of the stripes in ours, color and everything!
